Elzy's brother Amariah wrote that Elzy had a daughter named Anna that married Ephriam Miller. Her real name could have been Rebecca as that is the name given in the 1850 census of Plain Township, Wayne County, Ohio. Elzy served in the Ohio legislature and later, in 1852, donated land for the Wilson Cemetery in Buchanan County, Iowa.
