Clinton and Maryann Wilson

Clinton Wilson (b. 06/09/1805, d. 03/22/1880) and Mary Ann Miller (b. 04/08/1814 in Washington County, PA, d. 02/14/1871) were married 08/12/1830. All of their children were born in Wayne County, Ohio. Their family:

  • Catherine Wilson (b. 1834)
  • Jacob Wilson m. Elizabeth Edgar Fusselman (My ancestors)
  • Nancy Jane Wilson (b. 11/02/1837, m. 04/12/1864 to John R. Boone, d. 03/16/1914 at Boone, IA)
  • Shannon Wilson (b. 01/10/1840, d. 02/22/1863 in Civil War)
  • Isabelle Wilson m. Martin M. Bucher
  • Elzy Wilson m. Maria Kaufman
  • William Perry Wilson (b. 10/23/1846, d. 06/12/1893) married Mary Floresta Van Niman (06/09/1848 - 11/04/1930) of Jeromesville, OH, on 05/10/1866.
Shannon joined Company E, 120th Infantry Regiment of Ohio Volunteers, in 1862, with his brother Jacob. They participated in the assault and capture of Fort Hindman, Arkansas Post. For his actions Shannon was given a promotion to corporal. Shortly after their regiment moved to Young's Point, LA, both of them died of disease while aboard the hospital boat "Nashville". William Perry Wilson would later (circa 1865) take his nephew (Jacob's son) to Iowa.
