Amy and Clinton Miller Wilson

Clinton Miller Wilson (08/1859 - 03/30/1937) and Amy Westlake (09/04/1877 - 04/05/1965) were married 05/02/1895 in Fennimore, Grant County, WI. They are both buried in the Wilson Cemetery near Independence, Iowa. All of their children were born in Buchanan County, IA. Their family:

  • Clarence Franklin Wilson (b. 11/19/1895, d. 1959)   m. Mabel Elvira Tippey
    (b. 07/07/1898, d. 08/23/1991).
  • Fred J. Wilson (b. 02/15/1898, d. 01/21/1968 at Manchester, IA, no heirs)
  • Reed Edgar Wilson (b. 11/22/1900, d. 12/11/1911, killed by train cars)
  • Katheryn Belle Wilson (b. 04/03/1903, d. 07/26/1977) m. Harry Quinn
  • Wilbur Oscar Wilson (b. 04/26/1906, m. Elsie, d. 04/1958)(Infant daughter Marilyn died 04/03/1935)
  • John L. Wilson (b. 11/29/1908, d. 02/08/1909 of pneumonia)
  • George Clinton "Mike" Wilson (b. 03/15/1910, d. 04/25/1956 at Manchester, IA, of diabetes related causes)
  • Elzy "Pat" Wilson (b. 12/21/1913, said to have drowned in early 1965 near Casper, WY)
  • Lester Earl "Sam" Wilson (b. 12/19/1916, d. 11/19/1965) m. Helen M. Sabo (b. 06/15/1914, d. 01/24/2008) November 1937.

NOTE:   Clinton is said to have traveled by horse drawn wagon from Ohio to Iowa with his Uncle William Perry Wilson in 1865.
